Family Pics

John, Sue and Colton have come for family photos three years in a row now, and it's always great to see them! This year, I suggested we skip the studio and head outside.... I love the results!

Here's Colton projecting his inner rock-star....

Love it!

After wandering around for awhile, I suggested we jump in the car for one other idea... they were up for some fun!

Here's John and Sue... aren't they adorable together?

Another Colton classic.... :)

Thanks guys! Enjoy your photos!

Miss Independent

This is the 2nd time I've had the honor of photographing this family. Little Sophie has grown up quite a bit and definitely has a mind of her own. :) Here she is showing off her pink cow-girl hat... Where can I get one of those? :)

Here's Sophie demonstrating her dramatic flair after surrendering some playground equipment to an on-looker. This will be hilarious in 20 years.... ha!

Nothing like a piggy back ride from big sis to cheer you up!

Here the girls are exploring an ancient artifact known as a "phone booth." :)

Thanks guys! Wonderful to see you all again!

Alex R

Alex and her mom were so darn fun, they came back a few weeks after this shoot for family pictures! (still in the edit line-up.... to be done soon! :)

Here's Alex looking gorgeous... I LOVE the color of the blue wall with her and her dress! Beautiful!

I can't believe we're this far into the season and I still stumble upon things I've never shot before.... I love that!

Here's the wind playing with Alex's hair.... she rolled with it... perfect!

Is that a great smile, or what?

Thanks Alex!

Abby

What is it with furniture on the side of the road lately? We were on our way out when I saw this sofa and couldn't resist. Thanks for being a good sport Abby! :)

Here's Abby keeping me on my toes....

I love the intersection of these two blue lines... perfect with the shirt she had on!

Okay, this shot is just adorable! Go Abby!

I love red, and with that cute hat, coat, and green scarf... how could we NOT shoot this?

To me, this looks like the architecture and colors you would find on Ocean Drive in Miami's South Beach neighborhood.... only... SURPRISE! It's Nebraska! (I guess that would be a palm tree reflection if we had actually been in South Beach....)

Nothing like a charming mail box for inspiration... way to work it Abby!

Stevie

Stevie invited me out to her family's acreage for her shoot. They have horses, a collection of several dogs, and... a FIRE POLE! Yes, a FIRE POLE! You can actually slide from the 2nd floor down into the entry way, as Stevie demonstrates below. It's every kid's dream! :)

What acreage would be complete without a trampoline? :)

Thanks Stevie! That was a blast!
