Melissa + Kris : The Baby Belly Sneak Peek

Back in 2006 I had the honor and privilege of photographing Kris & Melissa's wedding, and I'm pumped to be back to shoot prego pics! (We never did figure out when/how that term became popular.... hmmm.)

Plus, with the little one on the way, I'll be back soon for newborn fun! Yay!

This is the funniest shot of the day. Sometimes, you just have to get dirty. :)

So fab to see you both again! Enjoy your sneak peek. The rest are coming soon!

Knock Out (aka: Rachael)

How is it that my clients all happen to be INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS all the time? Seriously! Maybe some of the gorgeousness will rub off on me eventually! Ha!

In the meantime, I'll soak up what I can from this little beauty. Rachael is another gal who saved her senior pictures for the spring. We had to reschedule a few times... so when it finally worked out, even though it was wildly windy (try saying that 3 times fast!), we wouldn't let it stop us.

Warning: This is a photo mega post. Too many fun shots to share!

Reow!

I love this pic! This is the exact moment she realized she was covered in tree sapp. Yuck! Luckily, I had some Goo Gone on hand and we got it all taken care of back at the studio. FYI: Goo Gone is AWESOME!

A self-proclaimed hippie, I thought this log was apropos.

Lovin' the laughter shots!

Seriously, I think Vogue is calling... any minute now!

I love the expression on her face in this one.

This may be my absolute favorite....

On top of everything else, she's a glam biker babe who's big time into Motor Cross!

Are you surprised Rachael? The wind can't hide your gorgeousness! Your photos rock!

Black Bean Yumminess

For the past few weeks I've lived on nothing but yogurt, chewy pretzels, immitation Crystal Light, and Fiber One granola bars (OMG... SO GOOD!). With no time to cook, my meals have been replaced with.... snacks. How lame! I need a real meal!

So yesterday, I got creative with the contents of our refrigerator and whipped up these black bean tostadas, and STILL managed to finish editing the wedding I was working on. SCORE!

Here's the recipe:

1/2 cup black beans (canned of course! No time to soak!)
2 whole wheat tortillas
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup diced tomatoes (canned and pre-diced.... naturally!)
a fat pinch of fat-free feta cheese

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Heat up a frying pan to warm the beans and garlic.

Put it all together on a tortilla and put in the oven for 6 minutes.

YUM. Bonus: If your a Weight Watchers counter... the whole thing (2 tortillas!) was only a whopping 3 points!

Willow

Willow is a 2008 senior who saved her photos for the spring. We roamed downtown and found some GREAT new spots. So fun!

I LOVE this red... whatever it is. I don't know why, but I really like that I caught her with her eyes closed in this shot. Sometimes those stolen moments are the most personal, strangely enough.

Since people tend to prefer open-eyed shots (go figure!), here's another. :)

Love the smile (and the green!)

Thanks Willow! Best wishes for a bright future! :)
