Brooke + Demon: A Beautiful Day!

Brooke and Demon scored some seriously gorgeous weather on their wedding day. After getting home tonight, I couldn't wait to share a few faves. Their ceremony was held at Sheldon Art Museum... (a new recent shooting spot!) so beautiful surroundings were in full swing!

When Demon saw Brooke... he had an explosive reaction. I love it! Isn't that smile electric?

Beautiful!

The sculpture garden is a fab place to have a wedding!

While running around downtown, I was in charge of Brooke's sunglasses, which eventually took a flying leap out of my bag, and fell to their death on the sidewalk. Doh! I insisted she take my glasses as a consolation pair. I must say, she makes them look good!

Wedding cupcakes!

Thank you so much for trusting me with the photographic memories of your day! You and your families were a treat to work with. A very merry happily-ever-after to you both!

Lindsey + Brett : Crazy Fun!

Lindsey + Brett's wedding was full of surprises and all kinds of great moments! Here are a few of my faves. :)

I *love* this shot... that's Lindsey's dad in the background.

A hug from mom...

A stolen moment with Dad....

After they first saw each other, we jumped in my car and headed to the buzzing metropolis known as downtown Hickman, NE. So charming! (I LOVE this photo!)

Her ring is so beautiful.... two slim bands connected by the stone and mounting in the middle, and the rest of the way around, the ring is open. I love that! It keeps it light and airy... but still full of sparkle. Gorgeous!

Lately I'm diggin' a lot of retro post-processing. I love the look of this...

Can you see how much fun they were? We laughed a lot. They were so comfortable in front of the camera and up for pretty much anything....

When I pulled into town, I knew I wanted to shoot at this place. Isn't it darling? The vintage sign and lantern are so fab!

More beautifulness....

When she told me their reception would be down at the state fair grounds.... I immediately suggested we shoot at the Heritage School House. Remember that place? More vintage processing fun! (What a classic!)

Then it was time for fun wedding party shots.... but not before a certain groomsman had to answer nature's call.... behind a nearby vehicle! Doh!

Here's the wedding party executing Brett's request for slow-motion running. Ha ha ha! The close-ups are where it's at! (Can you even wait?)

One of the things that's most noticeable about these two, is the total best-friend/goofiness connection that they share. This was shot the moment they made their grand entrance at the reception....

Brett's cake.... a true retro classic!

This moment of Brett & his mom laughing is so pure, isn't it?

Lindsey and Brett outdid themselves with their first dance. They started off dancing to a slow classic, then... the music changed. They did a choreographed routine to a potpourri of songs including Usher, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Michael Jackson, and even.... the song/dance from Napoleon Dynamite. The only thing more entertaining than the dance, was watching how much fun they were having with each other... fantastic!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share your special day with you. Life, love & happiness to you both!

Kurt + Ascha: Down the Aisle!

I just got home from Kurt and Ascha's wedding and headed straight to the computer to download (and backup!) their photos. These are some of my faves.... so fun!

A happy bride and a bright red door! :)

When I pulled up this morning, I saw this red bus in the church parking lot and just had to shoot it. Turns out, it was their get-away vehicle! Great taste guys!

We borrowed Bridal Barbie from Lexi, the flower girl for this fun shot. Way to work it Ascha!

Red door mania continues....

This is Ascha's Grandpa. Isn't he adorable?

Reow!

The guys entertained themselves with a coin tossing game. The competition was intense!

Jeremiah loved workin' his moves for my camera. Here, he insisted on posing for this shot (in the middle of the entry way no less... Ha!). I seriously had nothing to do with this... it was all him!

Lately, I've seen quite a few pregnant brides maids. This little baby is due in 1.5 weeks!

The wedding party indulged my whim for this shot. They braved the heat (and the steep hill climb!) Thanks guys!

When their first dance came around, these two were ready to party!

Thanks so much guys! Love and happiness to you both!

Kim + Chad: Goin' to the Chapel

And what a beautiful chapel it was! Kim and Chad were married at St. Cecilia's Cathedral in Omaha... everything (including the weather!) was absolutely gorgeous.

Of course, it helps to have such an adorable bride!

Wow! Seriously. I think Vogue is calling.....

In addition to this gorgeous cake, Chad had a cake shaped like a tractor (seriously, a green 3-d tractor!) AND (as if that wasn't incredible enough... I mean, it was a TRACTOR!) a pirate ship cake! Such fun!

I'm so happy I could capture your special day... thanks for letting me be part of your family! Have an amazing time in Jamaica!

Audree + Alex : East Meets West

He's from Ohio. She's a Nebraska gal. They met while on an internship in Illinois. The rest... as they say.... is history. :)

The only thing more fantastic than the weather today (no rain!), was all their friends and family. Everyone was such troopers! Thanks so much for putting up with me (and the heat) you guys.

Audree and Alex.... I'm in love with your photos. Thanks for all your trust. Your day was perfection.... enjoy!

Special thanks to the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery for putting up with all of us unexpected visitors!

These two crazy love birds are partying at their reception all night... then jumping in the car and driving through the night to KC for a 6am flight to Mexico! I love your adventurous 'can-do' spirit guys... Safe travels and best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness!

Marie + Warren : Let's Polka!

How cute is THIS? I love it! The weather forecast for today was dismal.... but it managed to hold off, and Marie and Warren got a beautiful day.

Marie's dress has quite the legacy! Her grandmother wore it in 1952 when she got married. Marie's mother wore it when she got married in 1981 (I think I got the dates right...?). And now, Marie wore it down the aisle to Warren. Amazing! The lace, etc... is 56 years old. Incredible. (The pearl necklace/ring was a b-day gift from her dad... sweet!)

Marie's brother Joel couldn't be with us today (he's in Iraq). This little cutie is his daughter. Her mom is holding her while talking to Joel on the cell phone. We know you were there in spirit Joel!

They go together like salt 'n pepper! :)

Nothing like a live band to dance the night away to!

Tonight an unusually large amount of people asked me, "Are you a friend of the family?" My answer? "You bet cha!" :) I love to make myself at home with clients' families and celebrate right along side with them. Thanks for having me as part of your family tonight guys! Have a FANTABULISTIC time in Greece!

Derek & Lindsey : Fabulous!

The next chapter of Derek & Lindsey's lives together started today! Their family and friends were a blast to work with... and we laughed a LOT. :) You guys rocked it!

Here's a quickie sneak peek!

Look at those eyes!

Lindsey & Derek both work for NU Athletics... so naturally, a trip to the stadium was in order. I LOVE this shot!

Here's Lindsey workin' the wind!

How cute are their place holders?

This is Lindsey's dad... isn't he adorable? Yes, I will admit... I cried during his toast. I'm such a sucker for the fathers! What can I say? I'm a total daddy's girl myself. : )

Gorgeous!

Lindsey makes the chicken dance look good!

You were incredible to work with! Congratulations to you all!

Michelle + Jared : Simply Gorgeous!

Michelle & Jared were married just today.... I am in LOVE with the results! Special thanks to everyone for indulging my creative whim(s)! (Seriously.... I love when clients are so trusting!)

Here are just a *few* of my favorites. (BTW: They were married at Grace Chapel in Lincoln.... what a fantastic place! Highly recommended!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be part of your day. May your days be filled with love and happiness!

Lisa + Doug : Rain Can't Stop 'Em!

Lisa and Doug tied the knot today... and wouldn't let the constant down pour dampen their spirits! Here's a quick sneak peek before I hit the hay for the night...

Gotta have a ring glory shot...

Look at this little cutie!

Not sure who's more adorable... (gotta love the fedora!)

Lisa and Doug are sports fanatics... so naturally, their day included a stop at Memorial Stadium...

This is Jessica. She is such a doll!

The cake glory shot!

Wishing you a lifetime of happiness! :)

Vicki + Lynn : Sneak Peek

Lynn & Vicki tied the knot earlier tonight. The weather was AMAZING. Here are a few of my faves. Working with the two of them was nothing but fun!

Double bonus? The chair I shot this on was for sale at the church garage sale... guess who is the proud new owner!? :)

Any guesses what this was shot on? :)

Great colors!

See what I mean about fun?

That was spectacular guys! I'm honored to have been part of it. Congratulations! :)
