Gasp! That's Private! (and way too fun) | Photo Classes Lincoln

So.... what do you do if there's something you want to learn, but you can't make it to any of my other classes? Or maybe you're looking for something specific (or advanced)? Or, you want an excuse to get together with friends for a customized learning experience? Go private of course! :) Here's a few shots from a private class I taught on Tuesday. Loads and loads of information..... but always a good time.

(Hey! No laughing at my overloaded laptop desktop! ;)

InDesign and AsukaBook: Webinar Posted Online

A few weeks ago I had the honor of presenting a webinar for AsukaBook on how to use InDesign to create  layouts for AsukaBook. The recorded version of the webinar is now live on their website. You can find it listed among their past webinars. For those already familiar with InDesign, I demonstrate the necessary steps for exporting to an Asuka-Friendly format. :)

Enjoy!

Fashion Without Sacrifice!

I love to see brilliant people with equally brilliant ideas! My friend and fellow photographer Maile Wilson from Relish Photography in San Antonio, TX is walking the walk. When looking for a camera bag to fit her needs left her empty handed, she decided to take matters into her own hands and is releasing her own line of fashionably functional camera bags! You can read all the details on her blog and can even sign up to be among the first to know as soon as the new website launches and bags are ready for sale. I can't wait to get my hands on one.... the only tough part? Choosing which pretty bag will be my fave!

Thanks for your relentless pursuits Maile!

AsukaBook Webinar Resources: InDesign for AsukaBook

I've created this book in both InDesign (for myself) and... under duress.... in Photoshop (by request for other photogs who are self-proclaimed InDesign virgins and wanted my designs in Photoshop format). I'm just happy I lived to tell the tale! :) I can't stress enough the importance of learning how to use InDesign in conjunction with Photoshop. They are two fabulous programs... each with their own specific purpose. There is a reason they both exist. Neither one fares well on its own.... but together? They're best friends. A truly dynamic duo!

Here are the links for the resource files I created especially for the AsukaBook "Ask the Expert" webinar series. I hope you find them helpful! (I'm quite fond of the pdf.... so if you like it, I'd love to hear about it!) Enjoy!
