Love Shoot : Heart Safari

On a tip from a friend, we headed out to find the elusive 'heart' rumored to be gracing the walls of a downtown alley. After much anticipation, we finally found it... and laughed our tails off when we saw how small it was. Ha ha ha! It was still quite delightful.... Thanks for the tip Kevin. :)

Whoa! That is one HUGE heart!

Perhaps Andrew should go into theatre... he seems to have a knack for it.

Lindsay could go into super modeling.... I love the energy she gives off.

OMG- Yes, those are her actual blue eyes. I am loving the intensity in her expression here. It's not always about big huge grins and giggles... I love it when clients can summon their inner calm on cue. Ha! :)

Again, a red door. (See what I mean?) This one has a bonus though... between them there is ANOTHER HEART! This one is white... and if you look closely, it's made up of the letters L-O-V-E skewed in such a way that it creates a heart. We were on a roll!

This lovely couple is running away to Vegas for their wedding.... (I'm already booked that day or you can bet I'd be out there with 'em! :) They wanted some engagement pics to celebrate their upcoming event.

I love this picture. Some people say that you can tell a lot about a person from their shoes. Holli in cute, sparkly & glittery heels, and Matt in.... workboots. Perfect!

Anna + Eric

Anna + Eric are adorable individuals and are even more charming as a couple.

Here's the little man workin' the bike rack. Isn't he a cutie? I'm telling ya... They're in trouble when this little guy grows up.... can you say 'heart breaker?'

We shot at Haymarket Park after the game.... Eric is a big fan.


Shortly after our shoot I received this warm fuzzy in my in-box from Anna: "Just wanted to write a quick note to tell you how much FUN we had at our shoot! You made it so easy for us to have a great time! AND, my son is in love with you! You are made to do exactly what you are doing :) Thank you Thank you!"

Kjerstin + Joel

I met Kjerstin and Joel for the first time when they came for engagement photos. Kjerstin and I had corresponded via email and on the phone from where she and Joel currently live in California, but with the distance, we never got the chance to meet until now.

With the weather so cold, I suggested that they dress warm, as we would be heading outside. They did a GREAT job, and we got some fantastic shots. I am madly in love with this one's retro coloring and handwritten texture (of course, Joel and Kjerstin look adorable to boot!). It looks like one of those cherished photos you find in the bottom of a shoebox in your closet, with a handwritten note on the back. A keeper, for sure!







Thanks for putting so much trust in me you two! I look forward to seeing you on your big day! :)
