Go Team!

To celebrate our one year anniversary, after a fantastic dinner, Emir and I came home and defrosted our wedding cake that had been in my mom's freezer since we walked down the aisle. Would you believe it tasted every bit as good as it did 365 days earlier??? Who would've guessed!

This is a pic of us at home in our kitchen (it would also make a swell ad for the Southbeach Cookbook... don't you think? Ha ha!). I was aiming for the ol' Norman Rockwell look. I love his paintings!

Special thanks to Michelle for snapping this pic and playing assistant art director :)

Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

Ok... I'm no stranger to having clients from out of town.... but Alison and her husband came to my studio all the way from GERMANY!

They're a military family that has been based there for quite some time. While in Nebraska on "block leave," they wanted some pictures of the two of them before he starts his second tour in Iraq. We wish him a safe and speedy return!

Thanks for the opportunity to create something special for you two!

Alison was such a ham!

Lovely Lauren!

Here's some of my new faves from a recent senior session with Lauren. She was having a total ball and at one point asked, "Can I just twirl?"

I said, "Absolutely!!!!" Twirl your heart out Lauren!

Lauren is a big fan of her sneakers. Apparently she has quite the collection. Here she is sporting a fiesty red pair... :)

Pool Party!

A year ago, little Cohen was in my studio as a tiny newborn... now he's a whole year old! To celebrate, we rounded up his cousins and had ourselves a poolside photo shoot. What a cute little man! (You should see his parents... they're adorable!)

Where's your belly button?

Nothing like a popsicle on a hot summer day!

Pretty in Pink

Brittanie & Nathan's wedding took place on the "wedding island" at Wilderness Ridge. Absolutely incredible. Of course, it helped that Brittanie has such great taste for decorations... but still!

Here's Brittanie trying to hitch a ride back up to the lodge... it's a long way to walk in heels!

See what I mean about beautiful?

These aisle decorations were my favorite! Brittanie made them herself. What talent!

I wonder what they were whispering about... it must've been good!

Thanks guys for letting me be part of your special day!

A New Sister-in-Law!

This weekend I shot a double-header. Well, not exactly.... one wedding was Friday, the other was Saturday.... but that still loosely qualifies, right? :)

Friday's wedding was none other than my very own brother-in-law's! That means I officially have a new sister-in-law! And I couldn't have asked for a better one. She is wonderful.

Of course, Adis is wonderful too, and has been my brother-in-law for nearly a year now! (Emir and I's anniversary is coming up!) They live just a few short blocks from us, and it's great to have them so close.

Laura's dress was gorgeous. Very classic. The perfect dress for a beautiful ceremony in the park.

Here's Laura getting ready to walk down the aisle. Isn't she beautiful?

I love this photo! This is when she snuck up on him and he was about to see her for the first time. The look on her face is fantastic!

Here's Emir toasting his brother and Laura. What a great job he did! (is he handsome or what?)

Time to put my camera down for a moment and sneak in a dance with my honey... :) (thanks for thinking of me and snapping this pic Lisa!)
