Just got in and already ran into a few old friends and even made some new ones! The crowds are expected to top 7,000 starting tomorrow. Lotsa new friends to meet!

I am SO stoked to report that I will have the distinct honor of presenting at the upcoming annual Women's Day event (put together by the fine folks at Bryan LGH!). Color me flattered! I'll be sharing some tips on how you (yes YOU!) can take better photos of life's most precious everyday moments. So grab your girlfriends, and sign up now! (The deadline is March 8th... and it's expected to sell out fast!) Also presenting is the fabulous Jeanne Baer. It's double the fun.... Don't miss it!

I spent the day chasing Ryan & Adam around various locations in Miami. We started out at Tropical Park then made our way downtown for lunch before heading to Matheson Hammocks to hit the beach just before dinner. What a treat! Shooting in such a fab city, how could we not have a blast? Thanks for going along for the ride boys!

I wasn't sure what to expect when we headed to Matheson Hammock park.... but suffice it to say that next time I'm in Miami, I'm bringing Emir here for some scene soaking!

What trip to the beach would be complete without some sand castle construction?

Mama and the boys!

Can't wait for next time gang!
Emir and I recently spent time with Ryan Holt trying to absorb his illustration genius. Illustrator is such a crazy program. You have to 'think' completely differently than in Photoshop. So, in some ways, I feel like a fish out of water. But... when have I ever let THAT stop me? :)
Here's something I built while screwing around focusingly diligently on learning more about Illustrator. (Look out... I sense a whimsy new collection of Christmas cards on the horizon!)
Ashley recently called and asked me to photograph her twin girls. Already about 8 weeks old, they are adjusting with gusto! They were good sports, (and so was Grama when they gave her a good excuse to wash the bedspread!).

I'm always psyched when people I've photographed before have exciting changes in their lives that give me another opportunity to see them! In this case, it was the joyous occasion of little Liam! Valarie warned me that Liam didn't like to be naked... so we weren't sure how much we'd get away with before he demanded to get his wardrobe back. But.... he did a remarkably fantastic job of putting up with us! Here are some of my faves.

Great to see you guys again.... welcome to the world lil' guy!
Just when you thought Jackie couldn't be any more amazing... she organized a 'Crafternoon' where a handful of girlfriends gathered to relish in all things crafty (ie: make v-day cards!). Those of you who know me well know how I am about glue and paper (a disaster!), so I hung out on the sidelines with my camera to capture what I knew would be gorgeous photo opps.

While the gals flexed their creative muscles downstairs, I headed upstairs to capture the absolute inspiration that is otherwise known as: Jackie's Studio. (Just close your eyes for a minute and imagine a space as cool as this to be your own! Wow!)

Of course, the brilliance is in the details...

Then, it was off to capture a couple portraits of Jackie and Monte's 'babies.' Mia and Samples.

After the cats got sick of me chasing them around with my camera, I headed back downstairs to find these lovely gems the gals had put together!

Thanks for letting me hang girls! It's always great to see you!
In honor of my squeaky new blog, I thought I'd post a quick sneak peek of a recent newborn shoot I did for my friend Lisa and her husband Chad. Here's Camden, the newest addition to their family!

I love this shot. Carter had his own ideas about how to spend his Saturday afternoon, and a photoshoot was not at the top of his list. :)

Lisa is glowing in this shot!

Welcome to the world, lil' guy!

Tara loves this photo from her shoot with Chris. She asked me to incorporate it into their 'Save the Date' announcements.... and here is the result. I think I'm in love! :)
I love it when couples ask me to design their wedding invitations! It means I get to combine their photos with my training in print design, and the result.... fab invites with gorgeous pics. :) Having a professional background in both photography AND design allows me to offer additional professional services to my clients!
Here's what I recently put together for Nicole and Jonathan. She requested something striking in black and white, and wanted the tall, narrow photo of the two of them featured on one side.
