The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round...

I have been waiting for a couple who was game for a love shoot on a city bus! A few weeks ago, Randi & Carl showed up for their shoot.... with an open mind. The dialogue went something like this:

Me: Hi guys! What did you have in mind for your love shoot?

Them: Nothing specific.

Me: For real?????? Boy do I have an idea for YOU! :)

I know they thought I was completely bonkers when I first uttered the words: 'city bus' and 'engagement shoot' in the same sentence. But.... they decided to have a little faith... and... as I promised.... totally worth it!

We rode the bus for an hour around town. So much fun!

On long road trips, games like "thumb war" can be fun!

Not sure who won... but it looks like they're having a good time!

As a photographer, the bus shoot was a big challenge because:

1) You're moving (as in, literally, the bus is rolling down the street and making turns as only a bus can do). Better hold on tight!

2) The light is constantly changing. In the light, out of the light, back in th... wait... never mind...

3) Watching the world go by through a lens on a moving vehicle (especially a bus) has a tendency to induce nausea. Don't forget the Dramamine!

Part of the deal when I first convinced them to 'have a little faith,' was that I promised we wouldn't only take photos on the bus... so we hopped off and scored a few more. :)

Guys: THANK YOU so much for having a little faith and trusting me on this one! I LOVE your photos! Good luck with the international wedding planning.... I'm hoping to see you there! :)

Love Shoot: Allison + Matt

I can't wait to catch up with Allison... she just got back from China where she was interning at the Olympics... how awesome is THAT? Matt must've watched proudly knowing his little lady was helping to do great things over there.... so cool!

We got together a few weeks ago for a love shoot that brought us out to James Arthur Vineyards, where I had never been. I am really looking forward to taking some time to check out all the great things they have to offer with Emir sometime this fall.... what a great place. :)

"Lover's View...." How apropos!

I LOVE this!

Allison had the cutest shoes!

Gorgeous, gorgeous....

and more gorgeous!

Enjoy you two! I'm looking forward to your 4th of July wedding! Whoo hoo!

In Love & On Fire! Bobbi & Jared

Check out these two cool cats who recently stopped over for a love shoot... I LOVE this shot... they did a great job of just relaxing in front of the lens and enjoying some quality time together (never mind the camera in their face! :)

They indulged my obsession with old gas pumps/gas stations.... and look how rad-tastic it turned out!

Jared asked if we could shoot with his new Harley.... I was like, "Of COURSE!" He was having such a blast!

A pair of biker babes!

Jared used to be a fire fighter in Kearney... so we thought this vintage truck had special meaning. Bobbi & Jared made it look GOOD!

How cute is THIS?

Congratulations you two! Thank you for the opportunity to work with you.... If you even had HALF as much fun as I did... we are in good shape! :) Ha ha!

Sarah + Brett: Love Shoot Mega Post

I am so pumped to be shooting Sarah & Brett's wedding next June. They are such a fun couple... and Sarah's laugh is so contagious! The three of us got together for a little bike riding/photo taking... these are a *few* of my faves... :)

Love that laugh!

Holding hands and riding is WAY harder than it looks!

This shot looks 'dreamy' to me.... aren't they adorable?

This shot is dripping with nostalgia... I love it!

Reminds me of a vintage post card... love it!

Too cute.

I am so stoked for your wedding you two! Thanks for all the laughs on your love shoot!

Love Shoot: Heidi & JJ

I am so pumped to be shooting Heidi and JJ's wedding.... they're getting married in West Point, NE... and having done quite a few weddings up there already, I really feel like part of the family! Plus, they're getting married in December... and we'll get to shoot with a big ol' Christmas tree in the middle of main street... I am stoked!

Here's a few from their loveshoot.... I'm going to build a custom designed photo guest book for them. It will be gorgeous!

I love adding a vintage feel to these... it takes off the squeaky 'newness' of them and turns them into timeless classics.

On our way back at the end, we stopped for ice cream. Just when you thought they couldn't get any 'sweeter!' (OMG... that was a lame pun! Ha ha!)

I love this shot!

Karla + Eric : No Daffodils Were Harmed!

Karla and Eric met up with me a few weeks ago for their love shoot. We took a chance with the weather (rain clouds followed us everywhere!) and scored some great shots!

(ps: no daffodils were harmed in the shooting of these photos.... :)

Relationships are all about balance... give and take. These two are in sync!

We got sprinkled on a tiny bit.... it was nothing these two couldn't handle!

Great work you two. I'm looking forward to your big day in August!

Edmond + Elizabeth

These two love birds crack me up. I first met with them quite some time ago to talk about photographing their wedding. We just recently got together to shoot engagement pics... and I loved how free spirited they were. Plus, they're adorable together! (And they're brilliant... between them they speak 4 (or was it 5?) languages! Amazing!)

I love this shot!

They indulged me and my whim for the recent church/garage sale chairs I salvaged...

See what I mean? Adorable!

Who knew street signage could look so good?

I am so pumped to shoot your wedding you two. Thanks for choosing KaBloom!
