Neema: Take 2

Neema arrived with a smile way back in October... but the weather wasn't as agreeable as he was. With winter on our heals, and the yearbook deadline fast approaching, we did a quick headshot and vowed to reschedule for spring. We were finally able to make something work and create these images. I can't wait to hear what he thinks! lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_61lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_22

I love this look of somewhat laughable surrender. Nicely done Neema! :)

Enjoy what's left of your year Neema.... and have a wonderful trip to DC... it's a great city!

Blowin' In the Wind

Kelsey was such a good sport. Down to the wire, we didn't have time to schedule a re-shoot. So, we went forth with a can-do spirit despite winds that could blow paint off the wall. And, (genius moment here), we busted out an umbrella to boot. Nothing like a challenge! I love the results! lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_21lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_31

It actually looks calm in this photo! Score!

Very cool young lady! Thanks for choosing KaBloom!

Lil' Red

Nothin' like a lil' school bus yellow to cap off your senior year! lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_7

Melissa's nickname is 'red.' These two images capture her gorgeous auburn hair that inspired such a moniker.

Ummmm... did someone say Red? Red head + red fire hydrant!? Yes please!

lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_1

I've made a habit out of subjecting my poor subjects to bright, bright light. It's only fair! :)

Ahem! Orange tutu? I'm in heaven!

Rock on Miss Red....  :)

Holley: Horse Poop & All... Still Gorgeous!

Holley stopped over back in October to knock out the required yearbook photo.... and we saved the fun stuff until last week. :) How rockin' is this horse trailer shot? Totally worth schlucking gear through horse poop to create, don't cha think? :) lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_51lincoln_nebraska_senior_pictures_photographer_61

Dolled up and gorgeous!

Holley's horse, Lady, wasn't too fond of having us trying to tell her what to do. She went a bit nuts and gave Holley a ride for her money. This frame was captured before Lady figured out what we were up to.....

Nicely done Holley!

Cohagen: Portrait of an '09 Senior

Cohagen. Isn't that a cool name, in and of itself? Not to mention the interesting person who embodies it. :) Cohagen showed up at my door step recently to squeeze in some last minute senior photos before he graduates this spring.  Here are my faves!

Thanks for choosing KaBloom Studios Cohagen! Happy graduation! :)

Airport Cutie!

While awaiting my flight home from the Denver airport, I suddenly heard a voice ask, "Khara????" I turned around to see Krista with her beautiful new baby girl, Lilly.  Don't you love when the world reminds you just how small it is? Travel always does that for me... it's one of my favorite things about hitting the road! Anyway, I couldn't resist a couple of quick shots. :)

PhotoGirls09: Manzanita, Oregon

For those of you who've been following my blog for a year or so, you might remember last March when a group of us photographer gal pals got together in Nags Head, NC. We rented a beach house and hung out for a week of photo fun and shop-talk mania. This year, our roundezvouz is bringing us to the beautiful coastal city of Manzanita, Oregon. This house is amazing and speaks for itself. :) Enjoy the eye candy! The rest of the girls will be here soon. Misha and I are holding down the fort and getting a jump start on dinner. :) UPDATE: Info on renting this house can be found here.

Here's Misha in the kitchen. Jena prepared an incredible gourmet meal lineup for us. Tonight's special? Minestrone soup and grilled cheese panini.

Master bedroom.

Even the shower is blog worthy!

The projection living room. (yes.... 'projection' television at our beach house! I suppose if you could pry us away from our laptops, we might fire it up eventually...)

Our fully stocked fridge. Fresh vegetables, skim milk, fruit, juice... I'm tellin' ya.... this is heavenly!
