Lindsey + Joe Tie the Knot

I just got home from Lindsey & Joe's wedding... and again, I'm so pumped to share these pics that I can't sleep! I mean, look at that bouquet! :) Lindsey got ready at the Rogers House bed & breakfast, which made a lovely setting for these photos.

This last one is of the bride's nephew, Max. He was an absolute blast in front of the camera, and I couldn't resist this little composite. :)

It was so wonderful to see you (and your families!) again and to be part of your celebration. Thank you so much for including me!

Lisa & Kirk: Big Fat Sneak Peek!

Lisa and Kirk's wedding was today. So much fun! Now it's almost 2am... I just got home awhile ago and I can't sleep until I get some of these up... they're just so exciting!

They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Lisa & Kirk will have luck to spare! It was pouring today... but luckily, it slowed down in time for the wedding.... the umbrella came in handy just in case.... :) Lisa was a great sport with her dress!

How cool are those swirly-coiley things in her bouquet???

Super glam!

Love it. So peaceful.

Apparently Kirk made this football in junior high home economics class (I think it was junior high....). He didn't know the ring bearer would be carrying it! Surprise surprise!

Speaking of.... Is this a darling ring bearer, or what?

And the flower girl... Look at those eyes!

Wind tunnel!

Gorgeous colors. Couldn't resist.

I love when the toasts get emotional.... :)

Romantic first dance... ps: check out her necklace.... it was as gorgeous in the back as it was in the front! I've never seen that before.... amazing!

Their reception was at Lincoln Station, beautiful is an understatement.

Phew! My assistant has everything under control. Bringing some backup is always good. :)

The cake was delicious (I had 2 pieces (small ones)! Shhh! One was chocolate, the other was cookie something-or-other. Yum!)

Next time you put together a guest list for a dance party, make sure this guy is on it! Look at him bustin' a move!

Thank you so much for including me in your day you two.... Congratulations and best wishes to both of you! :) I'm off to bed!

Kristin + Chris

I have the best job in the world... and today was no exception. In fact, it was quite the reminder of how fortunate I am to do what I love and work with such great people on a regular basis. Fabulous! Here's a sneak peek for you guys. Enjoy!

Kristin's dress... I LOVE this shot!

The "getting ready" room was a small corner of the choir loft. It was kind of a dark, tight squeeze, but this mirror made great things possible!

Here's Chris awaiting his princess...

This is a new all-time fave!

Gorgeous!

Another all-time fave! The motion of her dress in this shot is crazy fun.

This is Brian. He was a blast to work with. If you're getting married and are looking for a videographer, check him out! Here he is filming and holding Kristin's bouquet at the same time. Go Brian!

Some family shots... They were actually posing for the bride's sister's camera... but I couldn't help myself. :) I love the exploding laughter in this one.

It seemed as though between every shot, Chris would disappear. Then we found out the reason... he couldn't get enough of these sandwiches. :) So this time, he brought it with him....

Look at these characters! Grandpas are so cute!

A little bridesmaid bouquet action to wrap up the sneak peek...

Guys, that was absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much for having me as part of your day. Have fun in Jamaica!

Megan + Nate Part Deux

Megan + Nate's photos are up! Enjoy crew! Here are some more of my faves... (gotta luv the dress shots!)

They were married at a church in Omaha... the ceiling was soooo cool!

I love character shots like this. Taken in between formal portraits, shots like these become quick faves...

Cold, windy and surrounded by concrete, we were pushing the creative envelope when it came to scenic locations... I love how this worked out! Look at that DRAMA!

Another first dance pic... workin' the lens flare.... Gorgeous!

It's always good to have backups.... :)

Fathers will always have a soft spot in my heart, since I'm such a daddy's girl....

Thanks again you two! Happy ever after!

Psychic?

People sometimes ask me how I manage to capture the particular photographic moments that I do, seeming to always be in the right place at the right time. I happen to be a psychic, so it's actually pretty easy. Just kidding! :)

Learning to anticipate photo worthy moments before they happen is part of developing your skill as a photographer. Observe, anticipate, then wait. That's the recipe.

At Megan + Nate's wedding last weekend, I saw these two having their own "first dance." I had a feeling where this was going, so I hung around a moment and caught this fun series.

I think it would be great as a wall panel collection...

Sway....

Sway...

Sway...

Wobble...

Wobble...

Wait for it.....

Ta-da!

You knew that was coming! :) See? You're already on your way!

May Your Flowers Live On!

Ok, ok... I've been crazy swamped lately..... and haven't posted since Sunday (gasp!).... but it's all good stuff coming down the pipes... I promise!

On a side note, check out the FANTABULOUS Missy Cannon from Flowers Into Paintings. A gifted fine artist, she can forever preserve your wedding bouquet by transforming it into a one-of-a-kind wall art painting! (I wish I had known about her when Emir and I were married, you can bet I would have had her do my bouquet... I just love stuff like this!)

Happy Friday! :)

Megan + Nate

Megan + Nate tied the knot yesterday. I couldn't resist giving everyone a sneak peek... so here are a few quickies.... :)

Megan looking glam fab....

I have a thing for photographing make-up brushes... and these ones were pink --double bonus!

A little gettin' ready assistance.....

What snuggle bugs! (Isn't her hair beautiful?)

We got extra creative with available locations... I really like how this shot worked out. :)

Since they got married on the 29th of March, we thought this was apropos.

This is the darling ring bearer... Will. He has cute blonde hair and sweet brown eyes... what a combo! During the ceremony, after he triumphantly made it down the aisle, he climbed under the pew where I caught this image of him. (Those are his toy cars in the bottom left corner... so funny. This picture will be priceless when he grows up...)

The rings.... we can't forget those!

Here's their first dance as a married couple!

Thanks for letting me be part of your celebration you two. May your days (and nights!) be filled with love! :)

The Jackpot of Bridesmaid Dresses!

For all you brides out there (and bridesmaids....) check out what I stumbled upon while surfing today.... this gorgeous dress (available in a multitude of colors) that can be worn TEN different ways. One dress, TEN options!

I'm thinking of ordering one for myself... just for fun. Now I just need Emir to take me out someplace fancy so I have a reason to wear it (it doesn't exactly lend itself to be worn while I'm shooting ha ha! Can you imagine? :)
