Christmas Love

Ryan & Jordan were married on Dec. 22nd. It was a festive celebration!

Jordan was such a brave girl.... we headed OUTSIDE for pictures (yay!). Just as they stood under this gazebo, the neighboring church bells began playing holiday tunes. It was a magical moment!

Here's Jordan braving the elements in open toed bridal shoes! Look at her go!

How cute are these little dolls?

The cake was gorgeous. The city lights sparkled in the background. Love it!

Thanks for letting me be part of your celebration guys! Enjoy your photos!

Brooks and Family!

I can't believe I almost forgot to blog this fab family! We did their shoot quite awhile ago, and all this time I thought I had already blogged them!

This is little Brooks.... I did his newborn pictures and birth announcement (so cute!) about a year ago. Here he is as a big boy now!

I played with adding texture to this set... I love the warmth it adds.

How nostalgic is this?

Is mom beautiful, or what?

Father and son are practically twins!

Love the outfit!

Thanks guys! :) Good to see you again!

Family Fun

My sister and her husband were recently in town for the holidays and asked if I could do some "Just Because" photos for them. The weather was perfect for some outdoor snowy fun!

My obsession with shoe photos continues..... how could I pass this up?

Here's my brother-in-law grinning for the lens back in the studio. He wanted some shots for his website. I love his smile in this pic.

Here's my sister sporting the new green dress she got for Christmas. With blue eyes and curly hair, can you believe we're from the same gene pool?

Safe travels back to Oregon!

Sew Much Fun!

Despite 7th grade home-ec classes, a couple 4H ribbons, and even a few sewing classes as an adult.... I was a wreck waiting to happen when you put needle and thread in my hands, or heaven forbid, place a sewing machine in front of me.

My aunt Theresa, however, is amazing. She's a magician with needle and thread. (She even made my wedding dress!) Recently, she surprised me by entrusting me with the beloved Necci sewing machine she's had for the past 20 odd years (I never had one before). She even threw in a crash course to get me on my feet!

Now I'm obsessed.

This is one of my favorite projects so far. If you don't look too closely, it's not half bad! :)

More Springboard Stuff...

While out doing Jessie's shoot we stopped at Iasan & Sebastian Studio Salon for a wardrobe change, and found this banner. I loved how it looked, and we got this shot just playing around.... kinda fun. :)

I loved the way the wardrobe rack looked while working with the girls on the Springboard shoot.... couldn't resist snapping this pic.

Here's Robin fulfilling the role of hair stylist. Work it Robin!

Locks of Love

Way overdue for a haircut, I thought, "Hey, what the heck?" and cut off 10 inches to donate to Locks of Love. I've been wanting to do that for a long time, but didn't have 10 inches to spare... so I guess it paid off to be behind on hair maintenance for awhile.... :)

PS: Emir didn't know about it until I got home..... (Heck, I didn't know about it until I got to the salon!) He loves it though - I think our hair is about the same length now.... ha ha!

The fabulous gal who made this happen is Jill Wiese from Hairington's Salon (4333 S. 70th Street). You can reach her at 402.486.4247 ext. 109. She's amazing!
