Lindsey + Joe Tie the Knot

I just got home from Lindsey & Joe's wedding... and again, I'm so pumped to share these pics that I can't sleep! I mean, look at that bouquet! :) Lindsey got ready at the Rogers House bed & breakfast, which made a lovely setting for these photos.

This last one is of the bride's nephew, Max. He was an absolute blast in front of the camera, and I couldn't resist this little composite. :)

It was so wonderful to see you (and your families!) again and to be part of your celebration. Thank you so much for including me!

Lisa & Kirk: Big Fat Sneak Peek!

Lisa and Kirk's wedding was today. So much fun! Now it's almost 2am... I just got home awhile ago and I can't sleep until I get some of these up... they're just so exciting!

They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Lisa & Kirk will have luck to spare! It was pouring today... but luckily, it slowed down in time for the wedding.... the umbrella came in handy just in case.... :) Lisa was a great sport with her dress!

How cool are those swirly-coiley things in her bouquet???

Super glam!

Love it. So peaceful.

Apparently Kirk made this football in junior high home economics class (I think it was junior high....). He didn't know the ring bearer would be carrying it! Surprise surprise!

Speaking of.... Is this a darling ring bearer, or what?

And the flower girl... Look at those eyes!

Wind tunnel!

Gorgeous colors. Couldn't resist.

I love when the toasts get emotional.... :)

Romantic first dance... ps: check out her necklace.... it was as gorgeous in the back as it was in the front! I've never seen that before.... amazing!

Their reception was at Lincoln Station, beautiful is an understatement.

Phew! My assistant has everything under control. Bringing some backup is always good. :)

The cake was delicious (I had 2 pieces (small ones)! Shhh! One was chocolate, the other was cookie something-or-other. Yum!)

Next time you put together a guest list for a dance party, make sure this guy is on it! Look at him bustin' a move!

Thank you so much for including me in your day you two.... Congratulations and best wishes to both of you! :) I'm off to bed!

Alicia + Bret

Alicia + Bret are getting married in June and I recently had the pleasure of shooting their engagement pics. Here's Alicia as a glowing bride-to-be!

How cute is this?

Here's the 'behind the scenes' of the above shot.

These two were so funny.... He was actually blowing in her ear in this shot! Ha ha ha!

Gorgeous!

More gorgeous-ness!

Thanks guys. You look mah-velous!

Willow

Willow is a 2008 senior who saved her photos for the spring. We roamed downtown and found some GREAT new spots. So fun!

I LOVE this red... whatever it is. I don't know why, but I really like that I caught her with her eyes closed in this shot. Sometimes those stolen moments are the most personal, strangely enough.

Since people tend to prefer open-eyed shots (go figure!), here's another. :)

Love the smile (and the green!)

Thanks Willow! Best wishes for a bright future! :)

Lunch with David Jay!

Aside from being tax day, Tuesday brought with it the happy opportunity to have lunch with none other than David Jay! After his morning presentation at HOA, we all got together for lunch to chat and pick each other's brains. Hanging out with fellow photographers is the coolest! (Poor DJ, he had to run before finishing his food as he had another presentation to give!)

I had never met David Jay before, but was familiar with his work... and am happy to report he is every bit as easy going and friendly as people say. (And the big dork I was, I switched purses that day and forgot my camera! Arg!)

Thanks again for swinging through Nebraska David!

New Toy!

It's always fun to get a new photographic toy (err... I mean 'tool'). In this case, it's a Lens Baby 2.0. It just arrived yesterday... so I took it with me to my client meeting this morning (in my office away from my office... aka: Scooter's Coffee House :). It's kinda tricky to work with (you focus it by basically squeezing it like an accordion!), but super fun to use... and I love the results!

Downtown Lincoln, NE on a gorgeous Wednesday morning!
