Married! Karla + Eric

The sun shone down on Columbus, NE today for Karla & Eric. Their wedding day was a laid back celebration a lifetime in the making. Here's Karla seeing herself in the mirror for the first time as a bride.... I love her reaction!

Fluff that slip ladies! :)

Obligatory shoe awesome-ness. :)

Assistant in training.... ha ha! :)

Karla's tenderness was quite charming. Tears of joy only added to her gorgeousness.

Luvin' those earrings....

Those are some serious rings!

The church was spectacular!

See what I mean?

What a great idea! The 'signing of the marriage license' was actually part of the ceremony. Fantastic!

This was the little flower girl... stealing a moment to check in with her new little sis...

I love Grandpa's laugh!

Karla's family has a tradition of wearing goofy hats at wedding receptions. They were quite the cast of characters!

Check out the attention to detail on these kisses!

So.... this is actually the wallpaper in the bathroom.... er.... but isn't it cool!? (It kinda matches the upholstery of the chair in the 'shoe shot' above... don't you think?)

Karla & Eric's reception happened to take place at the same time as Nebraska's first game of the season. Being true Nebraskans, the TV wasn't far from the dance floor...

Guests cheered the Huskers on to a 47-24 victory over Western Michigan.

I love this shot!

Karla & Eric.... thank YOU for inviting me to be part of such an important day in your lives. It was a true treat!

Random Fun-ness (Is that a word?)

Ralph has been an invaluable addition to the team this season. Here he is on the job earlier this week.... (note his torn and tattered bottom side... poor baby is working hard!)

He makes a great hanging' spot too....

I gave in and bought THREE new covers for my shoot sac recently.... sometimes, you just have to spoil yourself... right? :) The ivory/black was getting old, I think the yellow with polka dots is my new fave. :)

I shot this one-handed, without looking, while holding Ralph with my other hand so he wouldn't blow away and leave poor Courtney stranded! Ha! Not bad, eh?

Mary snapped this pic of me on top of the ladder in my studio earlier today... ha ha!

On a completely random note... check out this spider web Emir and I came home to the other night.... it was HUGE!

Senior: Aly

Aly's shoot was full of interesting people, places, and things. For starters.... check out this rockin' location!

I LOVE this shot! (I know, I know... I say that all the time... but seriously! Look at it!)

SWEET signage!!!! Aly looks like a super star!

Was it something I said?

It's not uncommon to meet tons of interesting people during a day of shooting. Random people who like to suggest locations, inquire about what we're doing, and occasionally.... get involved.

Here, a random guy (dressed as a mime?!), walked up, put his arm around Aly, and posed for this shot.

Then he just continued on his way! Interesting....

I love this impromptu background... you'll have to get the story from Aly! :)

We had so much fun that I couldn't help getting involved. Here's a shot of the two of us having a good time!

Aly, I hope you had fun... I know I did! Your images are as gorgeous as you are. Thanks for totally 'bringin' it!'

Senior: Mikayla

Mikayla brought all kinds of fun things to use for photos.... we happened upon this desk and apple which perfectly complemented the books she brought. I {heart} this image!

You know we had to have more fun with those books....

Here she is looking lovely...

Double bonus: red + phone booth

I love the cropping on this....

Just plain beautiful!

Thanks Mikayla! I hope you have a rad-tastic school year!
