PhotoGirls09: Day 4 Cannon Beach, Oregon
/The weather surprised us with sunshine today, so we decided to take advantage and spend the day in Cannon Beach. We went hiking, visited Haystack Rock, and went shopping (I scored a new hat!).

We had lunch at the Lumberyard Grill.

(Tam.... this Jelly Belly pic is for you!)

I loved this sign. So clever!

Here's Kellie Kano looking very Ralph Lauren amidst the rocks. The camera makes a great accessory, no?

The fire hydrants here are yellow. Isn't that darling?

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the PhotoGirls!
/Last year, we were all about our knee socks. This year, we happened to be getting together over St. Patty's Day, so naturally, we needed to do a time lapse video of us Irish dancing (albeit, a loose interpretation... we're open minded out here.....). Enjoy!

Meet the Crew (alphabetical order): Adrienne Maples, Brooke Mayo, Jena Murray, Kellie Kano, Melanie Litchfield (whitebox), Melissa Jill, Michele Waite, Rebecca Peters, Sara (whitebox), Stacey Kane, Tania Lezak... and of course, yours truly!

PhotoGirls09: After Dark
/The rain has been a fairly constant companion on this adventure. Here the sun dips below the horizon in between rain showers.

Once the sun was set and dinner was gobbled, we settled in for some digital photo silliness.

PhotoGirls09: Day 2 Part B
/This afternoon (in between rain storms) we headed down the street to check out the town. What a charmer!

Along the way we met "Tank," the very affectionate bull dog.

PhotoGirls09: Day 2
/How cute is this sign? Our beach house is treating us quite well. We cooked up an oatmeal breakfast this morning that was out of this world!

Rebecca is our in-house tech guru who finally got our stereo working. Thanks woman! :) Here we're gathered around the projection TV talking shop.

Lunch! (courtesy of Melissa Jill and Sara from Whitebox)

Some scenic tilt-shift yumminess.

Misha whipped up some coconut chocolate chip cookies. I'm thinking of kidnapping her and bringing her home with me. Shh! :)

PhotoGirls09: Manzanita, Oregon
/For those of you who've been following my blog for a year or so, you might remember last March when a group of us photographer gal pals got together in Nags Head, NC. We rented a beach house and hung out for a week of photo fun and shop-talk mania. This year, our roundezvouz is bringing us to the beautiful coastal city of Manzanita, Oregon. This house is amazing and speaks for itself. :) Enjoy the eye candy! The rest of the girls will be here soon. Misha and I are holding down the fort and getting a jump start on dinner. :) UPDATE: Info on renting this house can be found here.

Here's Misha in the kitchen. Jena prepared an incredible gourmet meal lineup for us. Tonight's special? Minestrone soup and grilled cheese panini.

Master bedroom.

Even the shower is blog worthy!

The projection living room. (yes.... 'projection' television at our beach house! I suppose if you could pry us away from our laptops, we might fire it up eventually...)

Our fully stocked fridge. Fresh vegetables, skim milk, fruit, juice... I'm tellin' ya.... this is heavenly!

Round Round, Get Around!
/In the past month or so, I've earned some serious wings. I flew to Miami to shoot Jeannette and her boys. The following week was Vegas, after which we drove to San Diego and all the way up the coast along the PCH to San Francisco.... shooting along the way. Then, almost immediately upon returning, I hopped a flight to Philadelphia. When I got home, I did a senior shoot, a presentation, shot a wedding, then boarded yet another flight... this time, to Portland, Oregon to meet up with the Photogirls. Phew! :) When I get back, I'll be at home for at least a couple months... until we head off to the West Indies for Annette and Brandon's wedding. Yay! (Have I mentioned that I LOVE my job? :)

Down the Aisle: Tim & Amy
/Who could've predicted such a gorgeous sunny warm day in the middle of March? The wedding fairies were certainly smiling on these two!

Amy's blue eyes are really something, aren't there?

Thanks so much for including me in your special day. Have a fabulous trip you two!
Roar!
/One word: Fantabulous! I was floored to see so many family, friends, past students and clients this morning at BryanLGH's Women's Day event. Thanks SO much for coming out! Special thanks to Mary and Jami for organizing such a great event. I am so honored to have been part of it!

I presented on "10 Tips for Taking Better Photos." Here, I'm explaining how to avoid the perils of cropping by filling the frame, getting closer and shooting it the way you want it.... in the camera. :)

After brunch, the ladies were treated to the entertaining genius of Jeanne Baer.
Ladies, thanks again for giving me the opportunity to be part of this event. I'm flattered beyond belief! :)
