Gasp! That's Private! (and way too fun) | Photo Classes Lincoln

So.... what do you do if there's something you want to learn, but you can't make it to any of my other classes? Or maybe you're looking for something specific (or advanced)? Or, you want an excuse to get together with friends for a customized learning experience? Go private of course! :) Here's a few shots from a private class I taught on Tuesday. Loads and loads of information..... but always a good time.

(Hey! No laughing at my overloaded laptop desktop! ;)

An Unsurprising Surprise

I love the unveiling of a shoot because.... no matter what, it's surprising. Surprise! Yes, you are truly  adorable!

Yes! Your family is actually this cute!

Of course..... this is no surprise to me.  I knew it all along. :)

I love shots like this! I think it's fun for the kids to see later when they're all grown up. They can look back and think, "Look how cute and in love mom & dad are! What a lucky kid I was!"

Of course, how could we not shoot the bumble bee costume?

1This shoot was the epitome of teamwork and determination... and it totally paid off. Gold stars to Sara & Mitch!

They're Back!

I think this was the fourth time I've had the honor of working with this fabulous crew. I look forward to seeing them every year because they're always so much fun and up for anything (not to mention, check out John's hair!!!!!) Love you guys... Great to see you again! 1

I think Colton is officially taller than you now John!

Self-Branding + Twitter: A Dramatic Interpretation

I was tickled pink when Katie Becker contacted me abut speaking/presenting a breakout session at Ad Camp (via the American Advertising Federation - Lincoln) last Wednesday. It's always fun to get together with other creatives to talk about anything and everything, so naturally I was game. My presentation was called, "You Tweeted What!? Self-Branding + Social Media (and how not to suck at it!)." Emir came along to snap some photos, later revealing my dramatic antics. Too funny!

And now, for the full melodramatic reenactment.... (my favorite is what appears to be an operatic aria in the top right corner... ha!) As you can see... the energy level was not exactly lacking... ;)

Down the Aisle: Jacob + Lindsey | Wedding Photographer Lincoln

It all started with oatmeal scotchies.  And today, it continued with cupcakes as Jacob and Lindsey tied the knot surrounded by family and friends from across the country (literally, Seattle to the Carolinas!). Honored to be their wedding photographer, I'm happy to share some of what caught my eye when I got home. I am **lovin'** Lindsey's green shoes! lincoln-wedding-photographer-07

Lindsey's mom Jean made her dress.  Talk about a personal touch! It was gorgeous.... outdone only by Lindsey herself. Incredible job Jean!

A walk on the wild side...

While the girls continued getting ready, Lindsey sent this gift to Jacob via messenger.... :)

Nebraska played KU today (and managed to win 31-17!) while the guys tuned in for an update....

Lindsey's gorgeous bouquet was from PetalCreations.

The reception was held in the Jasmine Room at the Grand Manse in downtown Lincoln. I've photographed weddings at the Grand Manse before, but never in the Jasmine Room... so pretty!

Congrats you two! Thanks so much for including me in your celebration-- I'm honored to have been part of it! Have a wonderful time in Puerto Rico!

Here Comes Hudson! | Children Photographer Lincoln

I **love** the look on this cute little face! 8

Got 'cha Hudson! Soon, he forgot about the shutter clicking away and shared that beautiful smile with me!

7

This shot was taken in a 'secret passageway' from one yard into the park.... when I was a kid, I **loved** magical passageways like this! My sister and I lived out all kinds of make-believe melodramas  in our backyard in similar locations.... too fun!

6

Hudson **loved** going down the slide! Still very young, he speaks remarkably well... often referring to himself in third person. Each time he climbed the steps and prepared to launch himself down the slide, he would shout, "Here comes Hudson!"

5

A trip to the park is rarely complete without a good 'bonk' on something, somewhere..... Here, Hudson gets some TLC from mom. The tear on his cheek was picture perfect!

I think this is my favorite image.... the look on his face, the fact that he's holding a giraffe puppet..... the clean lines of the grass/fence... I just love it! :)

"Here comes Hudson!"

2Too fun! Thanks for your trust and cooperation Hudson! I hope these make you laugh (and smile)  in 20 years..... you are cute as can be!
