Willow

Willow is a 2008 senior who saved her photos for the spring. We roamed downtown and found some GREAT new spots. So fun!

I LOVE this red... whatever it is. I don't know why, but I really like that I caught her with her eyes closed in this shot. Sometimes those stolen moments are the most personal, strangely enough.

Since people tend to prefer open-eyed shots (go figure!), here's another. :)

Love the smile (and the green!)

Thanks Willow! Best wishes for a bright future! :)

Lunch with David Jay!

Aside from being tax day, Tuesday brought with it the happy opportunity to have lunch with none other than David Jay! After his morning presentation at HOA, we all got together for lunch to chat and pick each other's brains. Hanging out with fellow photographers is the coolest! (Poor DJ, he had to run before finishing his food as he had another presentation to give!)

I had never met David Jay before, but was familiar with his work... and am happy to report he is every bit as easy going and friendly as people say. (And the big dork I was, I switched purses that day and forgot my camera! Arg!)

Thanks again for swinging through Nebraska David!

New Toy!

It's always fun to get a new photographic toy (err... I mean 'tool'). In this case, it's a Lens Baby 2.0. It just arrived yesterday... so I took it with me to my client meeting this morning (in my office away from my office... aka: Scooter's Coffee House :). It's kinda tricky to work with (you focus it by basically squeezing it like an accordion!), but super fun to use... and I love the results!

Downtown Lincoln, NE on a gorgeous Wednesday morning!

Holly!

One of the things I love most about working with seniors is learning more about the next up-and-coming generation. These are the young people who quite literally are the future.

If there's more folks out there like Miss Holly... we are in GOOD shape! Not only is she intelligent (and adorable), she's a member of the speech/debate team with quite the long list of accolades and is just an all around fabulous gal!

Lens flare... couldn't resist. :)

I love this photo. The intensity in her eyes can stop you in your tracks.

We laugh a lot on shoots.... it's part of the gig. :)

It's not every day you can convince someone to set up a FULL drum set in the middle of a downtown street! I love it! Special thanks to her parents for helping... and putting up with the insane wind!

Best wishes to you on your life's next adventure Holly!

Kristin + Chris

I have the best job in the world... and today was no exception. In fact, it was quite the reminder of how fortunate I am to do what I love and work with such great people on a regular basis. Fabulous! Here's a sneak peek for you guys. Enjoy!

Kristin's dress... I LOVE this shot!

The "getting ready" room was a small corner of the choir loft. It was kind of a dark, tight squeeze, but this mirror made great things possible!

Here's Chris awaiting his princess...

This is a new all-time fave!

Gorgeous!

Another all-time fave! The motion of her dress in this shot is crazy fun.

This is Brian. He was a blast to work with. If you're getting married and are looking for a videographer, check him out! Here he is filming and holding Kristin's bouquet at the same time. Go Brian!

Some family shots... They were actually posing for the bride's sister's camera... but I couldn't help myself. :) I love the exploding laughter in this one.

It seemed as though between every shot, Chris would disappear. Then we found out the reason... he couldn't get enough of these sandwiches. :) So this time, he brought it with him....

Look at these characters! Grandpas are so cute!

A little bridesmaid bouquet action to wrap up the sneak peek...

Guys, that was absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much for having me as part of your day. Have fun in Jamaica!
