Kim + Chad: Goin' to the Chapel
/And what a beautiful chapel it was! Kim and Chad were married at St. Cecilia's Cathedral in Omaha... everything (including the weather!) was absolutely gorgeous.
Of course, it helps to have such an adorable bride!
Wow! Seriously. I think Vogue is calling.....
In addition to this gorgeous cake, Chad had a cake shaped like a tractor (seriously, a green 3-d tractor!) AND (as if that wasn't incredible enough... I mean, it was a TRACTOR!) a pirate ship cake! Such fun!

I'm so happy I could capture your special day... thanks for letting me be part of your family! Have an amazing time in Jamaica!
Flash Back
/I shot Jeanne & Ryan's wedding a couple of months ago. Tonight, I saw them (and Ryan's parents) at Kim and Chad's wedding. It's always so fun to see my past couples at other weddings! I'm crashing your next Christmas party guys.... Ha ha! Look at Ryan trying to hide behind Jeanne! :)
Sew Cute!
/Check out this one-of-a-kind hat! Isn't it darling? The gals at Emmy & Ivy always come up with the most fabulous stuff!
Audree + Alex : East Meets West
/He's from Ohio. She's a Nebraska gal. They met while on an internship in Illinois. The rest... as they say.... is history. :)
The only thing more fantastic than the weather today (no rain!), was all their friends and family. Everyone was such troopers! Thanks so much for putting up with me (and the heat) you guys.
Audree and Alex.... I'm in love with your photos. Thanks for all your trust. Your day was perfection.... enjoy!
Special thanks to the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery for putting up with all of us unexpected visitors!
These two crazy love birds are partying at their reception all night... then jumping in the car and driving through the night to KC for a 6am flight to Mexico! I love your adventurous 'can-do' spirit guys... Safe travels and best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness!
Marie + Warren : Let's Polka!
/How cute is THIS? I love it! The weather forecast for today was dismal.... but it managed to hold off, and Marie and Warren got a beautiful day.
Marie's dress has quite the legacy! Her grandmother wore it in 1952 when she got married. Marie's mother wore it when she got married in 1981 (I think I got the dates right...?). And now, Marie wore it down the aisle to Warren. Amazing! The lace, etc... is 56 years old. Incredible. (The pearl necklace/ring was a b-day gift from her dad... sweet!)
Marie's brother Joel couldn't be with us today (he's in Iraq). This little cutie is his daughter. Her mom is holding her while talking to Joel on the cell phone. We know you were there in spirit Joel!
They go together like salt 'n pepper! :)
Nothing like a live band to dance the night away to!

Tonight an unusually large amount of people asked me, "Are you a friend of the family?" My answer? "You bet cha!" :) I love to make myself at home with clients' families and celebrate right along side with them. Thanks for having me as part of your family tonight guys! Have a FANTABULISTIC time in Greece!
A Jessica Simpson Moment...
/The other day I discovered a particular variety of pickles that I really liked (as in, eat a whole jar in one afternoon type of like.....). I brought the jar to my desk to snack on while working, and thought to myself... "Wow! These are SO good.... what's in 'em?" So I looked closer at the nutrition label.... "Cucumbers?" I turned to Emir and exclaimed, "Pickles.... are really.... cucumbers????"
How was I supposed to know? I never 'pickled' cucumbers before! We ate frozen pizzas and home made Cuban food at my house growing up (which did not involve pickling cucumbers).
I can't believe I made it 28 years on this planet before figuring this out. Embarrassing!
Anyway, don't you love when life surprises you like that and makes you feel silly? Ha! I'd love to hear stories of your own Jessica Simpson moments!
Edmond + Elizabeth
/These two love birds crack me up. I first met with them quite some time ago to talk about photographing their wedding. We just recently got together to shoot engagement pics... and I loved how free spirited they were. Plus, they're adorable together! (And they're brilliant... between them they speak 4 (or was it 5?) languages! Amazing!)
They indulged me and my whim for the recent church/garage sale chairs I salvaged...
Who knew street signage could look so good?

I am so pumped to shoot your wedding you two. Thanks for choosing KaBloom!
Family Time
/I love getting to spend time with families photographing them as themselves. This particular family was simply adorable....
This little booger reminded me of my younger sister for some reason... she was hilarious!
What is up with boys having such long, gorgeous eye lashes! No fair! :)
The calm, quiet of this is image seems so powerful to me.
You guys were so fun.... I look forward to next time! Enjoy your photos are have a fab summer!
